Kaiping - Hometown of Oversea's Chinese

Situated in Tangkou Town, Kaiping City; this Chinese garden was built in the early 20th Century and based on the " Grand View Garden, "  described in the Chinese Classic titled ' A Dream of Red Mansions. '

It was the Garden villa of the late Mr. Xie Weili,  an " Overseas Chinese," who resided in the United States of America and so the garden has taken it's design from both Chinese and European influence - to blend the Chinese & Western cultures.
