It's about the degree of LATITUDE.

China Gardens are designed and constructed between a latitude of near 20 degrees South of the Equator - to near 40 degrees North. 

Chinese Garden representations, around the globe; are now constructed, between a latitude of near 50 degrees South of the Equator - to near 50 degrees North. 

This latitudinal variance, presents significant challenges - for preventive maintenance.
